cnn news - #2:Every Menu Item at Taco Bell — Ranked

Great news! There’s a super-healthy new vegetarian restaurant in your neighborhood, and it’s really inexpensive. It’s called...Taco Bell.

That sounds pretty crazy. After all, the Bell has a reputation for committing serious dietary sins: They invented the “taco waffle,” almost single-handedly making morning the most nutritionally hazardous time of day. And then they tried to sell us on the idea that we needed a “fourth meal,” as if we hadn’t gained enough weight from the first three.

But Taco Bell’s caloric bark is worse than its bite, especially with the news that it’s become the first fast-food chain to offer meat-free meals certified by the American Vegetarian Association. It’s also pledged to remove all artificial preservatives and additives by the end of 2017. In fact, even before this news, Eat This, Not That! rated Taco Bell as the healthiest Mexican chain in America; it scored a B in our 2015 Restaurant Report Card. (Baja Fresh and On the Border earned a D, Chili’s a D+, and even Chipotle managed only a C thanks to its giant burritos and high-calorie salads.)

Still, you can make a lot of bad choices when you ring the Bell. To help you avoid a Mexican standoff on your bathroom scale, the editors of Eat This, Not That! took each and every meal into our Food Lab and ranked each one below. Enjoy responsibly, and to easily burn off any of these dishes—without spending hours in the gym—don’t miss this list of the essential
